Bug hotels (also knowns as insect houses) provide a safe and suitable habitat for various beneficial insects that play crucial roles in pollination and pest control. Creating these habitats helps support local ecosystems and can contribute to healthier gardens and environments.
The Bug Hotels are filled with natural materials such as dried bamboo, drilled pine pegs, straw, and pine cones to attract a variety of many insects to your garden.
A choice of two sizes, 30cm or 40 cm in height.
Wondering where to place a bug hotel in your garden? This will depend on the insect species you wish to attract to your bug house. Some insects prefer sunlight, whereas others prefer more damp, dark conditions. In any case, it’s best to place your bug hotel in a relatively sheltered area so that it isn’t battered by strong winds. Plus, there should be adequate drainage in the area so that your hotel guests aren’t flooded!
In addition to placing your bug hotel on the ground – which would help you to attract ground-dwelling bugs – you can also increase your options of where to put an insect hotel by hanging it up on a wall, fence or window box. This is perfect for attracting flying creatures like bees and ladybirds. You can also nail your bug hotel to a tree to take advantage of this rich ecosystem, and to make your insect hotel blend in more harmoniously with its natural surroundings.

Delivery to mainland UK is calculated at checkout. For all other areas and large orders please ask for a quote. Orders will be sent by express next day delivery (DPD). They will be dispatched on a next working day service, with the exception of Ireland where it may take two days. Please allow up to 48 hours for delivery in the UK as the couriers may have already been and collected on the day you send your order in. Smaller orders for pouches, pockets, bags and pots may be sent via Royal Mail delivery. Please ensure you supply an email address and a mobile so you can be updated about your delivery. If you are not completely happy with any product that you have ordered from us, you may return it to us in its original condition any time within 14 calendar days from the date of dispatch. Products must be returned in their original condition. Please contact us at sales@naturalgrower.co.uk to arrange a return. If you return a product by post, you will need to pay the costs of returning the product to us and obtain proof of posting.
