Made on our family farm in Leicestershire
Natural Grower began in 2019 here on our family farm in Leicestershire, where our family has been farming for more than 50 years.
The story began with our renewable energy plant — an anaerobic digester fed with non-GMO maize grown on the farm. One of the valuable by-products of that process is a nutrient-rich organic fertiliser.
Rather than treating it as waste, we saw its potential for feeding plants, improving soil and creating a more circular way of growing.
That became Natural Grower.
From the beginning, I wanted our products to be independently accredited and fully traceable, so gardeners could know exactly what they were putting onto their soil and around the food they grow.
How has Natural Grower compost performed in independent testing?
We know how Natural Compost performs in our own gardens, but independent testing provides gardeners with additional reassurance.
In Which?'s 2025 compost for patio pots test, Natural Grower Natural Compost for Organic Growers achieved the maximum 5 stars for pelargonium size and weight.
Plant size and weight accounted for 65% of the pelargonium assessment, making it an important measure of plant growth in the trial.
